2-for-1 Historical Figures: A Communist Leader and An Astronaut

A photo of the prime minister of Cuba Fidel Castro and the first man in space Yuri Gagarin on July 26, 1961.

This photo was taken three months after both the Bay of Pigs invasion and Gagarin’s famous Vostok flight.

Fun fact: according to Wikipedia, ‘astronaut’ is an American term, while Russia uses ‘cosmonaut’ and China uses ‘taikonaut’.
