Handwritten Notes of the Press Statement on Martin Luther King's Death

From the Civil Rights Digital Library:

“Handwritten draft of a statement by Frank Holloman, Memphis, Tennessee Police and Fire Director following the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The note is written on Holloman’s desk note pad. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was shot on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee while staying at the Lorraine Motel; King and fellow civil rights workers were in Memphis supporting striking sanitation workers.”
