Having a Bad Day? At Least You Didn’t Have To Sign This Letter Today.

From August 9, 1974: Nixon’s letter of resignation, delivered to his Secretary of State the day after his famous speech from the Oval Office.  Since Nixon has been the only U.S. president to resign from office, this is a one of a kind letter.

Kissinger initialed it at 11:35am on bottom right-hand corner.  Nixon left the White House that same day.  According to the internet, August 9, 1974 was a Friday; that must have been the start of a weird weekend for Nixon…
