From the Library of Congress database, this photograph by Harry Frees was taken c.1914.  The caption:

“Dog dressed as human appearing to give another dog a bath in tub.”

I guess humans in different time periods aren’t so different after all.

    • It’s a dog meme in the making, isn’t it? This is why I love history – just when you’re wondering if the internet is what makes people weird, you realize people were already a little weird to begin with. 😉

  2. And we could even go further on the history line and realize there are even paintings of cute puppies. So indeed, humans keep the same habits throughout the years, only the means change.

Maybe they always took puppy pictures because puppies have always been cute.
