Don't Blame the Motorists for All The Automobile Accidents, 1913

The centerfold satirical comic from the humour magazine, Puck, published in January 29, 1913 (volume 73, no. 1874).  The artist is Will Crawford.

The title at the bottom of the cartoon reads:

“Don’t blame the motorist for all the automobile accidents in city streets. Look at some of the things he is up against.”

Kind of reminds me of all the YouTube videos of people falling and walking into stuff while texting!

  1. Hilarious! My husband just unearthed his Puck collection that he had stashed away at his mom’s house – good stuff!

  2. Some things never change.
