In weirder news, Stanley Kubrick, famous for movies like A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and The Shining was developing a TV mini-series about Napoleon in the 1970s. Steven Spielberg now has plans to finish developing the project that Kubrick, who died in 1999, never finished.
In a letter to executives in the 1970s, the late Kubrick boasted:
“It’s impossible to tell you what I’m going to do except to say that I expect to make the best movie ever made.”
Spielberg directed the famous historical movies Lincoln, Saving Private Ryan, Schlinder’s List, and Empire of the Sun. This collaboration is either going to make the best TV mini-series of all time or the absolute weirdest.
